AMD
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
The chip that has been the default answer for gaming builds since it launched, and it is still the value pick at the top of the stack now that the 9850X3D sits above it. Eight cores, a very large cache, and frame times that stay flat when a scene gets busy.
- Best for
- Anyone who wants the top gaming experience without paying the halo premium.
- Watch out
- It has spent long stretches out of stock and above MSRP. If it is priced above the 9850X3D on the day you look, buy the newer one.
