AMD
Ryzen 7 9850X3D
The fastest gaming processor you can buy, announced at CES 2026 and launched on 29 January 2026. It is a higher-binned 9800X3D with a 5.6 GHz boost clock inside the same 120 W power budget, which is a clean upgrade rather than a new architecture.
- Best for
- A build where the graphics card is already at the top of the stack and you refuse to leave frames on the table.
- Watch out
- Against the 9800X3D it is a single-digit gain in most games for real money. If the 9800X3D is in stock and cheaper, take it and put the difference into the graphics card.
Launch MSRP$499
